Jennifer Ayres is Associate Professor of Religious Education at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. She is the author of Good Food: Grounded Practical Theology (2013) and Inhabitance: Ecological Religious Education (2019), both published by Baylor University Press. She lives and occasionally successfully grows food in Decatur, Georgia, with her spouse, two kids, and two dogs.
While I was not in this specific class, I was joyfully in your intro to religious ed class last spring. Your class was one of the best classes I’ve ever been in and one I learned so much in. Happiness and laughter go a long way, especially in a place like seminary where the topics of death, trauma, and violence are a part of the curriculum. Dr. Ayres is the best!
